A Love Story Over Margaritas

Hey friends! I recently had the absolute joy of capturing Carling and John’s Romantic Austin Engagement at Fonda San Miguel in Austin, and let me tell you—it was a dream. Their love story started at Fonda San Miguel, a spot known for its incredible food, vibrant ambiance, and some of the best margaritas in town. Naturally, it was the perfect place to kick off their engagement session!

If you’ve never been, picture this: lush gardens, towering trees, and a quaint little cottage straight out of a storybook. And, of course, the famous Mayfield Park peacocks made an appearance!

The golden-hour light filtering through the trees was breathtaking. As we wandered through the gardens, Carling and John shared sweet glances and inside jokes. Its those effortless moments of connection that make my job so easy. While I love capturing classic, timeless portraits, I’m always on the lookout for those unscripted, candid moments—the giggles, the wind-blown hair, the way a couple naturally gravitates toward each other when they think no one is watching.

Mayfield Park’s natural beauty and intimate feel made it the perfect backdrop for their session. As the sun dipped lower, we wrapped up our time there with some cozy, romantic shots by the cottage—because who doesn’t love a little storybook romance?
